Quick Overview

0.965" input-1.25" eyepiece holder mirror diagonal. Aluminum surface with SiO2 overcoat

Product Details

The Antares MSDH hybrid diagonal provides convenient right angle viewing with refractors and cassegrains. The input aluminium barrel diameter is the Japan standard 0.965" and the receiver allows for use of 1.25" eyepieces and accessories. The reflecting flat mirror is aluminized and protected with SiO2 overcoat. The prism housing is made of high grade ABS plastic and the 1.25" and 0.965" barrels are made from precision machined aluminum. Comes with one 1.25" dust plug. Weight: 3.3oz.

Important Note: Please note that the length of the 0.965" aluminium nosepiece is 21mm (0.83"). Before purchasing, please make sure that the thumbscrew on your telescope is within this distance from the rear end of your focuser drawtube. Otherwise, the thumbscrew will not be able to engage and lock the diagonal. This is a known issue with some vintage telescopes in which the locking thumbscrew on the telescope is recessed by more than 0.83", and this diagonal will not work for you.
