From an amateur astronomer's dream
Agena Astro was founded in 2003 by Manish Panjwani, a lifelong amateur astronomer who started the company with just a few products stocked in his apartment closet.
Manish’s love of astronomy began in India in the early 1980s, when his grandfather gave him a Sears Discoverer telescope. By Halley’s Comet’s return in 1986, his passion had grown enough to draw more than 500 people to his apartment terrace to view it through his telescope.
After moving to the United States, Manish saw how difficult it could be for amateur astronomers to find quality equipment and reliable guidance. He founded Agena Astro to change that.
