This is a magnetic base plate for converting QHY Brand Polemaster adapters for use with the CGX/CGX-L Polemaster and iPolar adapters (items # AD-PM-CGX/L and # AD-iP-CGX/L)
Some backstory from 4026 Astronomy: "I created this part because I was getting several requests for custom magnetic baseplates for people to use their CGX/CGX-L adapters on their other non CGX/CGX-L mounts. Customers did not want to have to unscrew the Polemaster from the adapter to attach it to their QHY Brand adapter they had purchased already for their other mount. From my experience, most people are upgrading from a smaller mount such as an AVX to a CGX/CGX-L and already have the Polemaster and QHY adapter for the AVX for example. I did not want to go through the hassle of designing, building, and stocking baseplates for all the different mounts out there. So, I created this universal baseplate to piggyback on the QHY adapters. It attaches to the QHY adapters using the same holes the Polemaster would use. So, if a Polemaster can fit on it then this baseplate will fit on it thus allowing the CGX/CGX-L adapters to attach."
It is 3d printed using robust PETG filament. The magnets used are high quality N52 Neodymium magnets that are built into the 3d printed parts.
