See What the S50 Pro Can Capture
All images below were captured by Mack Murdoc of the Agena Astro team using the Seestar S50 Pro:
Premium Optics & Built-In Filters
The S50 Pro uses a 4-element apochromatic optical design with Extra-low Dispersion glass to help control chromatic aberration and produce cleaner, more accurate images. A built-in triple filter system adds light pollution, dark-frame, and IR-cut filtering without requiring separate accessories, helping the S50 Pro adapt to a wider range of imaging conditions.
50mm Aperture for More Detail
With nearly three times the light-gathering area of a 30 mm aperture, the 50 mm aperture delivers faster light collection and greater optical resolving power. Paired with a 4K 1/1.2-inch large-format sensor, it reveals rich detail—from faint structures in deep-sky objects to the intricate textures of the Sun and Moon.
Capture Deep Sky, the Sun, Moon & More
Seestar makes it easy to capture sunspots, lunar surface details, and rare celestial events such as solar and lunar eclipses. More than a pocket observatory for the night sky, it also serves as a super-telephoto viewing camera for daytime use. From birdwatching and distant landscapes to rocket launches, Seestar is ready to capture it all.
One-Tap Post-Processing
Get a polished result with one tap, or take more control with advanced editing tools including star reduction, star removal, cropping, brightness, contrast, noise reduction, saturation, and more. Refine every detail and bring your imagined shot to life.
Intelligent Constellation Recognition
Identify constellation lines and labels with a single tap, then use GOTO to automatically locate your selected target. This intuitive feature makes it easy for beginners to navigate the night sky and discover their favorite constellations.
Massive Object Database
Explore the night sky with ease using Seestar’s extensive celestial object database. Simply choose a target in the app and tap GOTO—Seestar automatically locates, tracks, and captures it, delivering impressive cosmic images in just minutes.
Frame the Night Your Way
Starry Sky Mode offers multiple Milky Way stitching and composition options for capturing expansive nightscapes. Intelligent foreground detection processes the landscape separately from the sky, keeping stars sharp while the foreground remains clear and natural for detailed astro-landscape images.
Plan and Automate Your Imaging Sessions
Set your imaging plan once and let Seestar handle the rest! It can shoot throughout the night, automatically switching between multiple targets according to your schedule for a more efficient and effortless imaging experience.
Go Deeper with Equatorial Mode
Offsetting the effects of Earth’s rotation helps keep celestial targets steady in the frame, allowing for stable tracking and exposures of up to 60 seconds! Combined with Equatorial Mode, the Seestar S50 Pro’s precision drive system features near-zero backlash for smoother tracking, finer adjustments, and more efficient imaging.
*ZWO Tripod Head for Seestar Smart Telescopes and ZWO TH10 Quick Release Plate for Seestar S50 Pro are both required for EQ mode and sold separately.

Seestar S50 Pro FAQs
Is the Seestar S50 Pro suitable for beginners?
Yes. The S50 Pro combines the telescope, cameras, computerized mount, autofocuser, tracking, filters, image stacking, and processing tools into one system. Select a target in the Seestar app and the telescope can automatically locate, center, track, and photograph it.
What can the Seestar S50 Pro photograph?
The S50 Pro can capture nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, the Moon, and the Sun when used with the included solar filter. Its separate wide-angle camera also supports Milky Way panoramas, star trails, constellations, and daytime photography.
Can you look through the Seestar S50 Pro with an eyepiece?
No. The S50 Pro is an imaging telescope without an eyepiece. You view targets and control the telescope through the Seestar app on a compatible phone or tablet.
How is the S50 Pro different from the original Seestar S50?
The S50 Pro upgrades the original S50 with a four-element APO optical system, a larger 8.3 MP main sensor, 4K image capture, and a significantly wider deep-sky field of view. It also adds a separate 4K wide-angle camera, improved tracking, 128 GB of storage, and a larger 10,000 mAh battery.
What does the S50 Pro’s wide-angle camera do?
