This is a new Agena quick-release dual-ring, six-point finder bracket for 60mm finders or guiders. This is the same bracket that is included with the Agena 60mm Deluxe Straight-Through Finder / Guide Scope, but we are now offering this separately due to popular demand.
Each ring includes three-point nylon-tipped screw adjustment for precisely aligning your finderscope or guidescope. All-metal construction with an anodized black matte finish.
The rings are attached to a 1.23" (31mm) wide by 3.5" (89mm) long dovetail mounting bar which fits into Vixen/Synta-style dovetail finder bases (not included) found on many telescopes. The dovetail bar also includes three threaded through-sockets for other attachment options (one 1/4"-20 threaded hole in the middle and two M8 threaded holes, one on either side). For example, it can be mounted on one of the pre-drilled holes on the tube rings of many refractor and Newtonian reflector optical tubes, or on the rear of most Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes using a suitable optional dovetail base.
Note that this is a "low-profile" bracket since the rings are attached directly to the dovetail rail without the use of an intermediate stalk. This minimizes flexure in guiding applications but may not be as comfortable to use as an optical finder bracket due to its low height.

When ordering any Vixen style dovetail base (shoe), bar or plate, please note that there are two different size standards and applications in the industry. A Vixen/Synta dovetail base for this Agena 2-ring 60mm finder bracket is smaller and generally has a slot opening to accommodate 32-34mm finder bracket dovetails. A Vixen base/clamp/saddle for mounts and telescopes is wider at 42-44mm. The two are not the same and are not interchangeable.
