A. About Agena Dew-Ninja Dew Heaters
Agena's Dew Ninja Dew Remover is a thick film dew heater manufactured for operation at 5 volts DC. It prevents dew condensation from forming on the glass surface of your optical device. The heating element provides even heat distribution without localized hot spots or burnouts. These are power-efficient strips that will not result in unneccessary drain on your battery or power supply which is especially important if you power your telescope and accessories in the field.
A key feature that differentiates this product from other commerically available dew heaters is the inclusion of an inline stepless rheostat that allows you to vary the power provided to the heater strip, providing just the right amount of heat for your optical setup. This eliminates the need for a separate dew controller (which start off at about $100). If you use more than one Dew Ninja heater strip on your setup, you can individually control their power output as opposed to some dew controllers that only allow you to vary the output of one or two channels.
Agena Dew Ninja 5V strips are manufactured to very high quality standards. Each heater has a hook-and-loop self fastener strip on one side for easy attachment and comes with a 3 foot cord. The cord terminates in a male USB Type-A power connector which means that this can be powered from many commercially available batteries, power tanks, or other power sources with a USB outbput. This design eliminates the RCA/phono type connector found in many legacy astronomy dew strips that are difficult to find economical power sources for, without the need to purchase additional cables, converters, or controllers. Note that this dew heater strip does not come with its own power supply. You cannot run these directly from 110/220V AC, USB, RCA/phono connectors, or cigarette-lighter sockets and no other power cords are included.
Note that since these USB heaters are powered by a lower 5V voltage (as compared to most other dew strips that operate at 12V), these strips will not put out as much heat as the 12V heater strips. The tradeoff between the convenience of the USB connector versus its lower power output/efficiency is something you should consider carefully before purchase.

Dew Ninja dew control stips are available for many popular sized eyepieces and telescopes. To select the right size, measure the circumference of your specific eyepiece/finder/telescope tube or dewshield. Or measure the tube/dewshield diameter (not telescope aperture) and multiply by 3.14. Pick one of the models based on the length specified. For in-between sizes, choose the next larger size of dew heater. Please measure the tube or dewshield and select the correct size BEFORE ordering, and don't order just based on your telescope aperture.
