Flexible rubber eyeguards reduce ambient light and glare reflections, thus protecting your dark adaptation, while providing the viewer with comfort for maximum visual effectiveness. Eyeguards assure proper eye-to-lens positioning and also protect the optical surface from grime and oil. The eyeguards are made of flexible, yet strong rubber so they will stretch a bit (2-3mm) beyond the nominal diameter noted below to fit over many other eyepieces.
Please note that these are sold individually.
Nominal diameter ~34.3mm (unstretched). Height = 18.8mm. Insertion depth = 6.5mm.
These are from Agena's 1.25" 7-21mm zoom eyepiece. As a reference, the diameter of the barrel extension this eyeguard sits over on the zoom eyepiece has a diameter of 37.7mm. Can be folded down.
