These vibration suppression pads reduce vibrations in the legs of your tripod caused by wind gusts, accidental bumps of your telescope while changing eyepieces or focusing, or moving around the telescope on a vibration-prone surface like a wood deck or concrete balcony. Vibrations are significantly reduced and damp out quickly so viewing with your telescope is more enjoyable, even at higher magnifications.
Each of the three circular vibration suppression pad in this set is made from a disc of vibration-absorbing material between a hard molded tripod leg cup and a hard molded ground cup. To use them, place each pad between the bottom of the tripod leg and the ground. The pads work on any firm surface such grass, dirt, concrete, asphalt, and wood. There are three small knobs on the underside of each ground cup to allow firm mounting on slightly uneven hard surfaces.
For best results, you may need to remove the rubber feet on the bottom of your tripod legs before placing the legs of the tripod onto the vibration suppression pads.
