- 3nm bandwidth to maximize contrast in NII (ionized Nitrogen) emissions.
- Steep spectral profile minimizes halos around bright stars.
- A single substrate to eliminate internal reflections.
- Use in light polluted areas and dark sites.
- Extend imaging time when the moon is up.
- Can be used down to f/3 with minimal loss of signal.
Antlia NII 3nm Pro Narrowband Imaging Filter - 2'-inch Mounted
The Antlia Ionized Nitrogen NII Pro 2-inch mounted narrowband filter boosts the contrast of nebulous targets by minimizing background signal. Its ultra-narrow 3nm bandpass effectively blocks most light pollution and Moon/sky glow, making it a valuable addition to your setup in both urban and dark-sky locations. This NII filter is optimized for long-exposure imaging and is not recommended for visual observation.
Designed to achieve an impressive 88% transmission at the 654.8 nm line, Antlia NII 3 nm Pro filters provide maximum signal and enhance fine nebulous structure. The out-of-band blocking specification is rated at OD5 (0.001%), ensuring excellent signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and effective cutoff rates to minimize interference from other wavelengths. These improved sharp-cutoff astrophotography 3 nm Pro filters are specifically engineered to reduce halos around bright stars, delivering superior optical reliability that reduces post-image processing. Please note: this filter is not intended for solar imaging or observation.
