Baader’s premium 1.25” 45-degree Amici prism diagonal gives correct-image views for daytime terrestrial observing with the Baader Maxbright binoviewer (sold separately).
The diagonal connects to the binoviewer with a male T2 thread (M42x0.75). The body of the diagonal also includes an integrated 2x glass path corrector (GPC) that increases the effective magnification by a factor of two and helps the binoviewers come to focus in most telescopes.
Compared to other erect-image diagonals, Baader’s 1.25” Amici prism diagonal uses a larger prism with a full 25mm clear aperture. This means you can use lower-magnification eyepieces without the effects of vignetting (darkening) around the edge of the field of view. The Amici prism in this diagonal is fully multicoated to reduce stray reflections and maximize image brightness and contrast.
This Baader 1.25” 45-degree prism diagonal can also be used for basic astronomical viewing at moderate magnifications, but it is not primarily intended for this application.
