Baader Planetarium's Special Reducer 2"/1.25" for BDS NT Diamond Steeltrack with 4.5mm Optical Height # BDS-RDCR (formerly FOC-RDCR) / 2408152.
This eyepiece adapter allows 1.25" eyepieces and accessories to be used in Baader's new 2" BDS Diamond Steeltrack focuser for Newtonian telescopes. It has an optical length of 4.5mm. Includes a brass compression ring that restrains the eyepiece and prevents marring of the eyepiece barrel by the metal set-screw. This reducer is also threaded to accept standard 2" astronomy filters with an M48x0.75 thread.
The thumbscrew on this model is on the side of the adapter body (see photo above), so it is perfect for use with the NT Diamond Steeltrack "low profile" focuser that has a side notch to accept this screw. This item is not meant for use with the SCT or refractor versions of the Baader Diamond Steeltrack focusers.
