This Blue Fireball # M-21 adapter allows you to use your Tele Vue 2" 2x Powermate # PMT-2200 lens assembly for imaging applications with newer, wider M48 T rings. Use of this adapter will allow you to avoid vignetting that you may experience with smaller M42 T rings if you use full frame DSLR or large chip astronomy cameras.
This adapter screws directly on to the lower lens assembly of the Powermate and replaces the 2" eyepiece holder (the entire black barrel) on the 2x Powermate with a 48mm (M48x0.75) male thread (see photo 3; Powermate lens assembly shown sold separately). Use of this adapter requires an additional M48 wide T ring for your specific DSLR camera that is not included. Note that this adapter cannot be used with smaller M42 (42mm) T rings/threads.
