This bracket #EAF-GSO-2CRF-M allows you to mount a ZWO Electronic Automatic Focuser (EAF) onto your standard 2" Dual Speed Crayford Focuser. Besides being sold separately, these very popular focusers can be found on many GSO telescopes and GSO-made scopes sold under the Orion, TPO, Astro-Tech, Apertura, iOptron and other brand names.
Compatible with ZWO EAFN and EAF-Pro models only. Not for use with the discontinued EAF-STD and EAF-5V models.
Note that this adapter is NOT for use with any GSO linear bearing focuser model.
The system consists of two parts: a bracket for your telescope and a coupler that attaches the EAF onto the focuser pinion. Connections are held securely with stainless steel M3 set screws. Where necessary, bracket mounting screws are provided. The ZWO supplied M4 screws are used to attach the EAF to the bracket. Note that the user will need to have a hex key/Allen key for the M3 set screws (not provided).
Installation instructions (not included with the item):
- Remove the focuser knob
- Slide the coupler onto the focuser pinion
- Slide the bracket onto the round body of the focuser, align coupler set screws with the side access holes and tighten the three screws to clamp the bracket onto the focuser body
- Slide the EAF pinion into the coupler and fasten the EAF to the bracket using the ZWO supplied M4 bolts
- Using the side access holes on the bracket, gently tighten the coupler set screws. Do not over tighten the set screws. Note: you may have to adjust the horizontal position of either the coupler or the bracket to find the best fit.
