- Fits pre-drilled holes in the front and rear cells of current 8” Schmidt-Cassegrain and 8” EdgeHD Optical tubes (bottom only; not compatible with the top of the optical tube)
- Aluminum bar with orange anodizing provides a sturdy mounting platform.
- Easy to install and comes complete with all necessary hardware
This dovetail bar kit allows you to replace the wider CGE dovetail bar found on the bottom of most current Celestron 8” Schmidt-Cassegrain and 8” EdgeHD optical tubes with a narrow dovetail, allowing them to be used on mounts that require the narrower CG-5 dovetail bars, such as the Advanced VX mount.
Specifications:
- Length: 13" (330.2mm) x 1.7" (43.18mm)
- Weight: 11 oz (311.8 g)
- Optical Tube Compatibility: Current Celestron 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain and 8" EdgeHD optical tubes with the wide CGE bar. Not for use with older Celestron OTAs or other OTAs that do not already come with the wide CGE bar.
- Note that this bar will attach only to the bottom of compatible tubes. It is not meant for use on the top of the OTAs as the pre-drilled hole patterns will not match.
- Mount Compatibility: CG-5 style dovetail bars
- Includes: (2) 8-32x14mm, (1) 10-24x14mm screw; (3) washers.
Product carries two year factory limited warranty (within US/Canada only).
