Pegasus Astro NYX101 v1 Retrofit Kit for supporting heavier OTAs
The retrofit kit is designed to accommodate larger, longer, and heavier telescopes by providing enhanced stability and support. These telescopes might be 8"-10" Newtonians, refractors with apertures of 130-180mm, or similar.
Pegasus Astro has developed a new left side plate with locking bolts for customers with those telescopes who own the previous V1 mount (first batch of 2022). This upgrade ensures a secure fit and prevents any rocking motion, even with a substantial payload. Customers with the V2 mount do not require this upgrade.
Additionally, for those who choose the retrofit kit, an optional lever and spring knob (# PEG-NYX101-ALTLEVER) can be added to simplify altitude adjustments with heavier payloads.
The replacement process is quick and easy, and the new parts can be installed on the V1 mount in just a few minutes.
