1.25 inch IR850nm pass filter
The Player One IR850nm filter allows infrared light with wavelengths of more than 850nm to pass while blocking shorter wavelengths. Since the eye has no sensitivity at these long wavelengths, this filter is not suitable for visual observations, but it's a perfect match for lunar and planetary imaging. At these long wavelengths, images are less perturbed by wavefront distortions by the atmosphere (the effect of "seeing"). This results in the sharpest and highest contrast image possible. The filter is particularly useful when imaging the cloud bands in the upper atmosphere of Venus, especially when combining IR images with UV images captured individually with a monochrome planetary camera.
Player One S series filter using high quality optical glass substrate and multi-layer composite coating technology, which has excellent optical performance in astrophotography.
Specifications:
- Size: 1.25 inch, thread M28.5*0.6
- Frame thickness: body 5mm+ male thread 2mm, a total of 7mm
- Thickness of filter substrate: 2mm
- Transmittance:≈90%
- Blocking depth: OD3
