1. QHY 6.0 Megapixel CCD Monochrome Astronomy Camera with High QE
The QHY695A astronomy camera uses the Sony ICX695 ExView II CCD, a 1-inch, 6 megapixel monochrome sensor with a peak QE close to 80%. The read noise is as low as 4 electrons. The pixel size is 4.5 um.
2. All-in-One Configuration Includes Filter Wheel and OAG Support
The letter "A" is used by QHYCCD to designate a camera that is an integrated (ALL-IN-ONE) camera equipped with the essential integrated features needed for astrophotography. The QHY695A has a built-in motor driven filter wheel for automatic sequencing of color or narrowband imaging. It supports both an 8-position, 1.25-inch filter carousel and a 7-position, 36mm filter carousel making it possible to install an entire deep sky filter set LRGB, Ha, OIII, and SII at the same time.
The camera also supports integration with a QHYOAG off-axis guider using six M3 screw holes while taking up minimal back focus. (Off-axis guider is sold separately).
3. Integrated Control
The A-series cameras have a USB host interface that can be connected to a guide camera. Two serial ports are available for the equatorial mount and the electric focuser. Control of the camera, mount, guide camera and focuser can be managed through a single USB connection to your computer.
The QHY695A uses a single 12V power cord that can be secured with a threaded lock nut. It also has a 12V output socket that can power peripherals directly from the camera.
4. Butterfly Shutter for Uniform Illumination and Long Life
The QHY695A camera uses a mechanical shutter that has the shape of a butterfly. This provides even illumination as the shutter sweeps across the sensor to begin or end an exposure. The shutter is driven directly by the motor and has no other moving parts, making its working life almost unlimited.
5. Two-Stage TEC cooling and External Trigger
Integrated two-Stage cooling reduces the temperature of the CCD chip to 45 degrees C below ambient, resulting in very low thermal noise and a clean, long exposure.
The QHY695A also has an external trigger in/out port for exposure timing or synchronizing the start of exposure.
