Simple in design, Aline uses an ultra-reflective microprism retroreflector and the light gathered by your telescope to produce a brighter image than "classical" cheshires or even so called "reflective" cheshires (which are retroreflector collimation eyepieces -- not cheshires) that use less reflective microsphere retroreflectors.
Please note that the center pupil is approx. 2mm in diameter and will be centered within +/- 0.5mm, which is considered adequate for its intended use in this price range. Other higher priced metal collimation caps are available for those requiring higher centering accuracy.
