Tube Rings for Takahashi Epsilon E130 - 166 mm Outer Diameter
Introducing the Rouz Astro precision-engineered mounting rings made from carbon fiber composite! Designed to grip your telescope securely while minimizing weight. They’re load-tested and modular, with options for carbon fiber top and aluminum bottom dovetails, allowing additional options to customize how your Takahashi Epsilon E130 integrates into your setup!
Benefits
- Lightweight - Less than half the weight of cast metal tubes
- Improved Results - Significantly increases mount performance & image quality
- Carbon Fiber Composite - CAD designed with the FDM process for strength and light weight
- Articulating Double-Hinge Design - Powder coated stainless steel rings “wrap” around tube for extra grip
- Machined Knobs - CNC hollowed & knurled aluminum red (with hex bolt)
- Modular Design - Various compatible & lightweight dovetails and handles
- Felt-lined - premium non-woven needled felt to prevent tube damage
These tube rings feature stainless steel receptors, with all bolts threaded directly into implanted metal inserts for a secure and reliable connection. They are load-tested to handle hundreds of pounds in various scenarios, ensuring stability under demanding conditions. Built from a high-performance composite of polymers and carbon fiber fused at over 540°F, they offer exceptional durability without the use of glue or epoxy.

Rouz Astro Precision Tube Rings - Engineered for Maximum Stability
These Rouz Astro tube rings feature a precision-engineered design validated through finite element analysis (FEA), demonstrating exceptionally low flexure under load, measuring just 0.29 mm at maximum deformation. The color-mapped stress simulation highlights their rigid, vibration-resistant construction, ensuring reliable alignment and secure support for imaging-grade optical setups. Machined with tight tolerances and optimized geometry, these rings deliver the structural stability astrophotographers need for long-exposure performance and consistent guiding accuracy.
Specifications:
- Threads: stainless steel M6
- Bolt spacing: 50.8 mm (2.0 in)
- Adjustable size: tolerance of +/- 2.5 mm (0.1 in) larger or smaller than listed
- Wide ring width: 22 mm – 28 mm (0.9 in – 1.1 in) for extra stability
- Stainless steel hinges & hardware – aluminum T6061 knob
- Weight per ring: 7.05 oz to 24.7 oz per ring (depending on size)
