What accessories are sold separately? Three accessories are not included with the mount: an optical tube assembly, a SynScan hand controller, and a pier extension. The pier extension is available separately from Sky-Watcher and is especially useful for observers in lower latitudes, where it adds clearance between the optical tube and the tripod legs.
Does this mount work in the southern hemisphere? Yes. The latitude range of 0 to 80 90 degrees covers both hemispheres. In the southern hemisphere, you will polar align on the southern celestial pole rather than Polaris. The SynScan Pro app includes alignment routines for southern hemisphere observers.
What external power supply does this mount need? The mount runs on DC power from 9 to 12.6 volts through its 2.1mm female power port. It does not have an internal battery. Common options include a 12V portable power pack designed for telescope mounts or a regulated DC supply rated for at least 3 amps. The included DC power cable connects to a standard DC source.
