Takahashi 0.65x Florite Reducer for FCT-65D Telescopes
This large Takahashi 0.65x RD-FU reducer is designed specifically for the Takahashi FCT-65D refractor telescope. The new Takahashi FU reducer series incorporates fluorite lens elements for the highest possible performance. Fluorite lens elements provide ultra-low-dispersion, minimizing chromatic aberration, delivering sharper, cleaner, and more color-accurate images.
Featuring a 4-element optical design that includes a premium fluorite lens, this reducer delivers exceptionally sharp performance across the entire field. The RMS spot radius stays around 1.5 μm from center to edge on APS-C sensors, and only about 2.5 μm at the far corners of full-frame, remarkably tight results for an f/4.0 system. Because most of the assembly sits inside the focuser drawtube, it also maintains your telescope’s balance with minimal change to front-to-back weight distribution.
