The aperture opening in Questar eyepiece holders limits the true field of view in eyepieces with large field stops. The use of this adapter allows you to use TeleVue and other 1.25" eyepieces with the Questar and increase the true field of view. For example, compared to the 24mm Questar supplied eyepiece, the Tele Vue 19mm Panoptic has 17% wider true field and the 24mm Panoptic has a 30% wider true field, even with vignetting limiting its potential in Questar telescopes.
To use this adapter, first unscrew the silver eyepiece holder on the top of your Questar scope and then screw this adapter into the telescope tube in its place.
