1. Tele Vue 1.25" Plossl Eyepiece - 25mm:
The 25mm Plossl is suitable for observing deep sky to planetary objects. Far superior to eyepieces usually provided as standard with most instruments.
Since TeleVue introduced their Plossls in 1980, they have won praise and patents, including a patent in Japan. Tele Vue Plossls, designed by Al Nagler, have been a recognized benchmark of performance and value in the class of 50° apparent field of view eyepieces. While the Plossls may be Tele Vue's least expensive eyepiece line, they still enjoy the same care and attention to detail as their most expensive. Whiter and brighter images. Simply put, that is the benefit of the Everbrite mirror coating. This exotic, dielectric, nonmetallic coating is 99% reflective across the full visual spectrum, resulting in the "whitest," most natural image available. The coating is painstakingly applied to Pyrex with a surface accuracy of a 1/10 wave flatness.
To ensure performance, every mirror is optically inspected under conditions far more critical than a diagonal mirror is ever used in typical telescopes. In this way, Tele Vue can guaranty that the Everbrite will permit your telescope to operate at its fullest potential.
The diagonal body is machined from solid blocks of aluminum. Permanent alignment is assured. The one piece body construction also means heavy accessories can't force the diagonal body to "unscrew" from the barrel as with other brands. The diagonal features a brass clamp ring, anti-reflection threads and 1.25" filter threads.
