About Wanderer Astro's Universal Filter Wheel Adapter
The Wanderer Astro Universal Filter Wheel Adapter is an adapter designed to take the place of an OAG when using the Wanderer ETA in the ETA → Filter Wheel → Camera configuration. It features multiple hole patterns for maximum compatibility with ZWO, QHYCCD, ToupTek, and Player One cameras and filter wheels.
Kit includes:
- Universal Filter Wheel Adapter
- 1.5mm Carbon Fiber Light Leak Gasket *2
- M2.5x7.5 Socket Head Screw *6
- M2.5x6 Flat Head Screw *6
Specifications:
- Length: 16mm (17.5mm with included carbon fiber light leak gasket installed)
Note: While general compatibility is guaranteed, some of the parts provided with the filter wheel adapter might not be the correct size for your particular application. For example, we tested a QHY imaging train installation and found the Wanderer Astro screws to be too small to mount the adapter to our QHY filter wheel and instead, ended up using screws provided with our QHY camera. It is also important to keep in mind that using the provided light leak gaskets will add 1.5mm of back focus to your image train. If this puts your system out of tolerance, then you will have to revert to using the light leak gasket provided with the Wanderer Astro ETA. For other questions regarding compatibility, please reference the technical drawing provided.
