Please note: While ZWO is offering a counterweight shaft (see their description below) for their AM3 and AM5 mounts, they do not sell counterweights. You will need to procure your own weights with a 20mm central hole diameter to fit this bar. See the "Related Products & Accessories" section above for compatible weights.
The counterweight and counterweight bar # BC230 are needed when the load on the AM5 mount is over 13kg. Note that ZWO does not recommend the use of additional counterweights exceeding 5 kgs (11 lbs), not counting the weight of this bar. Also note no counterweight safety stop screw is included with this item. A stop screw is included on the AM3 and AM5 mounts and moved to this counterweight shaft when installed. Also works with ZWO's AM3 mount. NOT for use with the AM7 mount, which includes its own, wider counterweight shaft.
Made of oxidation-resistant solid metal, the counterweight bar can be used with multiple mounts with matching M12x1.75 threads.
