- 5mm coupler: Compatible with the previous-generation EAF-5V model
This bracket is designed to work directly with current model Celestron 8" and 9.25" SCT and EdgeHD optical tubes*. You can directly connect it to the scopes without using a Feather Touch Microfocuser (FTM) - it will not work with scopes that have the FTM installed.
It is CNC milled from an aircraft graded aluminum block.
Supported Models:
- 8" Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA 8)
- 8" EdgeHD optical tube assembly
- 8" C8 optical tube assembly (CG-5 or CGE dovetail)
- 9.25" EdgeHD optical tube assembly with CGE dovetail (without reducer; if using the reducer, you will have to sand/shave off a bit of one side of this adapter to make it fit)
- 9.25" C9.25 optical tube assembly (CG-5 or CGE dovetail)
*Rear cell castings must have triangular molding. Not compatible with older OTAs with flat back cells. May have swing through problems with Celestron NexStar Evolution or CPC OTAs. If you are not sure about compatibility for telescopes other than those listed above, please check the detailed adapter specifications provided in the photos above to check this yourself.
