B500 Powerhouse
This 40 mm doublet refractor includes a Etalon system to safely show the Sun's chromosphere, isolating Ha (656.28 nm) and blocking all other wavelengths, including harmful UV/IR. This allows you to safely see fiery features like prominences, flares, and filaments, not just the bright surface! If you are looking to get more from your solar session, double stacking is critical! By adding a second Etalon you get a dramatically narrower bandpass (from <0.70Å to <0.50Å), revealing significantly higher contrast and finer surface details.
Tele Vue Sol Searcher
The included Sol-Searcher is a safe and easy way to find the Sun! Finding the Sun through a highly filtered telescope is tricky, and you don't ever want to chance a direct gaze, let alone a magnified image of it. Creating a miniature pinhole projection of the Sun onto a translucent screen, it makes Solar alignment a breeze!
