Sky Rover 130mm General Purpose Stone Series Telescope
The Sky Rover 130GPS is a powerful apochromatic refractor designed for serious deep-sky imaging and high-contrast visual observing. Its large 130mm aperture gathers plenty of light for capturing nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, and detailed lunar and planetary views, while the premium triplet ED optics help deliver sharp stars and excellent color correction across the field.
Built with astrophotography in mind, the 130GPS features a heavy-duty 3.7-inch dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser and an integrated camera angle adjuster (CAA) for smooth, precise framing and focusing. The telescope is also compatible with optional Sky Rover flatteners and reducers, making it easy to build a high-performance imaging setup for modern astronomy cameras.
A retractable dew shield, sturdy tube rings, and robust aluminum construction give the 130GPS a premium feel while keeping it ready for both backyard observing and advanced imaging sessions under dark skies.
Optical Advantage
Built around an air-spaced Super ED triplet optical system using FCD-100 glass, the 130GPS is designed to control chromatic aberration while producing clean, round stars and crisp planetary and lunar detail. Fully multi-coated optics help maximize light transmission and contrast, while individual optical testing with artificial star testing and laser interferometry gives the GPS series its premium performance standard.
All-New Flange Plate
To accommodate upcoming high-peformance optical accessories, the new 130GPS features a forward-shifted objective flange plate, allowing focal plane adjustments using an Allen key without removing the dew sheild. The flange plate uses the classic three-screw adjustment system for easy operation.
Note: the tlescope is factory-calibrated, so users adjustmens are gennerally not required.
All-New CAA System
The rear rotating mechanism of the optical tube has been removed, and the tube now connects directly to the focuser, providing greater mechanical axis stability compared to previous versions. The focuser has been redesigned for improved assembly standards, ensuring a more secure and reliable operation. At the rear of the focuser tube, a new v2 field rotator is integrated, featuring laser-engraved angle markings and smooth, precise rotation.
All-New Dovetail Plate
The telescope features an all-new wide dovetail plate from Sky Rover Optics (compatible with Losmandy standards), with a curved design combining gentle arcs and clean straight lines, adding a touch of elegance and warmth to the setup. The 450mm-long plate offers numerous mounting holes and T-slots, making it easy to adjust telescope balance and attach accessories.
