The Takahashi FC-100DC Fluorite refractor OTA delivers stunning performance for both visual observers and astrophotographers alike! Built around a 100mm apochromatic fluorite Steinheil doublet with a fast f/7.4 focal ratio, this scope strikes a beautiful balance between power and portability. The eco-glass front element maximizes light transmission, while the fully coated fluorite rear element keeps color correction tight and stars beautifully crisp.
The optical tube features a fixed dew shield and a smooth 2.2-inch rack-and-pinion focuser for precise, reliable adjustments. While it’s fully capable as an imaging platform, the FC-100DC is especially tuned for visual observers — offering bright, high-contrast views that make lunar details pop, planets snap into focus, and deep-sky objects sparkle against an inky black sky!
