Takahashi FC-76DP: High Performance and Portability
If you’re a fan of Takahashi’s fluorite optics but want something purpose-built for modern imaging, the Takahashi FC-76DP is your next upgrade. This updated take on the FC-76 series is designed specifically to take advantage of the redcuers and correctors such as FU Reducer 0.64x, FC/FS Multi Flattener 1.04x, and Multi-Reducer 0.85X-L. Transforming the FC-76DP into a compact astrograph with impressive capability. The 76DP model features 2-inch eyepiece compatibility, and Takahashi includes a Camera Angle Adjuster right out of the box for framing flexibility — something imagers will immediately appreciate!
Like the FC-76DCU, the 76DP keeps the detachable tube design for easy transport, making it an ideal travel companion for dark-sky trips. The front section measures 13.4 in (340.36 mm), the rear about 7.5 in (190.5 mm), from the separation point to the back of the focuser. Finally, the eyepiece section adds another 5.5 in (139.7 mm). Want even more flexibility? Add the new M55.9 Extension Tube L30 and you can run the FC/FS Multi-Flattener 1.04x for additional configuration options (Sold sperately). Please note: in its standard configuration, visual users will need a separately sold 50.8 Extension Tube or a 50.8 Zenith Mirror / 31.7MC Zenith Prism to reach infinity focus.
