M-180C: Compact and Carefully Crafted
The Takahashi Mewlon series uses a Dall-Kirkham reflector design with a curved primary mirror and secondary mirror to deliver sharp, high-contrast views that are nearly free of spherical aberration. As a pure reflecting telescope, it completely eliminates chromatic aberration (color fringing), giving you clean, crisp planetary and lunar detail. The open-tube design cools down faster than closed systems, so you can start observing sooner — perfect for backyard sessions or high-magnification imaging of the Moon and planets.
The Mewlon 180C brings all of these standout features into a compact, highly portable package. With a long 2160 mm focal length and a lightweight 6.2 kg build, it delivers serious deep-sky and planetary magnification without sacrificing mobility. Each mirror is carefully matched and hand-finished in-house for exceptional clarity and precision. The design naturally resists dew since there’s no front corrector plate, and it includes a 2-inch (50.8mm) eyepiece adapter. The securely mounted finderscope even doubles as a carrying handle, making transport and quick realignment simple and convenient.
