Takahashi FCT-114DS Fluorite Apochromatic Refractor
The Takahashi FCT-114D is a precision-engineered fluorite apochromatic refractor that delivers exceptional optical performance for both demanding visual observers and astrophotographers. As part of Takahashi's next-generation FCT-D series, it pairs the company's legendary optical design with a lightweight, highly portable tube assembly. The result is outstanding color correction, razor-sharp resolution, and exceptional contrast across the entire field of view. This version of the FCT-114 uses the same focuser as the Takahashi TOA-130NS.
.Best for visual observers and versatile use. The FCT-114DS features the same premium 114mm f/7 fluorite triplet optics as the DF model but pairs them with a lighter, more compact focuser. It is an excellent choice for observers who primarily enjoy visual astronomy while retaining the flexibility to perform occasional astrophotography with the appropriate accessories.
