ToupTek AE676 Color Astro Camera: One Camera, Endless Possibilites!
The AE676C is a versatile, high performance astronomy camera designed to cover multiple astrophotography scenarios. Powered by the advanced Sony IMX676 sensor, it combines high infrared sensitivity, low noise read, and wide dynamic range to deliver outstanding results across planetary imaging, deep-sky photography, autoguiding, and all-sky monitoring!
Multi-Purpose Astronomy Imaging
Whether your interest lies in capturing deep-sky nebulae and guiding, framing sun, moon, and planet photography, tracking meteors, or capturing wide-angle Milky Way vistas, this versatile camera is designed to handle it all. Its adaptable architecture makes it an all-in-one imaging powerhouse tailored to thrive across multiple unique astronomical disciplines.
Square Sensor for Flexible Framing
Featuring a Sony IMX676 Color CMOS 1/1.6" square sensor with 12.5MP high resolution, this camera eliminates the hassle of aligning different aspect ratios. The unique square format provides seamless benefits like easier mosaic stitching without cropping, a faster post-processing workflow, and superior framing flexibility. It is perfectly optimized for wide-angle and fisheye lenses, maximizing image coverage for meteor detection and all-sky monitoring.
Superior Infrared Sensitivity for Low-Light Imaging
Built on Sony Starvis 2 technology, the camera delivers exceptional sensitivity across both visible and infrared light spectrums. Boasting high quantum efficiency (QE) at 825nm and beyond, it maintains near full-pixel response comparable to monochrome sensors, providing outstanding low-light performance where standard cameras fall short.
AR-Coated Protective Window for Maximum Transmission
Equipped with a dual-sided AR-coated optical window, the camera effectively reduces reflections and light loss while simultaneously shielding the internal sensor from dust and physical damage. By enhancing transmission across the 400–1100nm wavelengths, it unlocks stunning infrared Milky Way imaging when paired with an LP825 filter.
Modular Magnetic Cooling System for Flexible Use
Adapt your cooling to match your imaging style with a modular system that offers two distinct setups. Utilize the fanless mode for precise, vibration-free TEC cooling with PID control down to 5°C below ambient for consistent long-exposure imaging. When diving into cleaner deep-sky results, simply attach the magnetic fan to activate Deep-Sky Camera Mode, boosting your cooling performance up to 20°C below ambient to drastically minimize thermal noise.
Native 12-bit ADC & Hardware ROI
Capture high-fidelity data natively in 12-bit depth, with software pixel binning from 1x1 to 8x8 and hardware binning from 1x1 to 2x2 for ultimate flexibility in output resolutions. For high-speed planetary imaging and capturing fine solar or lunar details, the hardware Region of Interest (ROI) lets you reduce the readout area to achieve blazing fast frame rates up to 993 FPS in 8-bit mode.
