OPTEC Motorized Off-Axis Guider for Astrophotography
The Optec Sagitta Off-Axis Guider (OAG) is a premium solution for remote imagers who need independent guide camera focusing without affecting the primary imaging camera. Designed for precision astrophotography setups, the Sagitta features a full 3-inch (76.2 mm) clear aperture to support larger imaging trains while maintaining a compact 1.25-inch (31.75 mm) body thickness. A high-quality fully multi-coated pick-off prism with 12.5 mm clear aperture directs light to the guide camera for accurate guiding performance.
Built for flexibility, the Sagitta uses a large brass split-clamp to securely hold most 1.25-inch format guide cameras, with generous adjustment range for parfocal alignment to the imaging camera. Prism stalk height can be adjusted with a single tool and offers 12 mm of prism engagement travel, while total guide camera adjustment exceeds 42 mm. The unit uses the OPTEC-3000-S dovetail interface for compatibility with multiple adapters and optical systems. For motorized operation, the Sagitta requires the FocusLynx Controller (#19690) or Starlight Instruments FocusBoss II (sold separately). Single-focuser models can be upgraded to dual-focuser control with the #19533 Secondary Stepper board.
