SkyEye26 Plus: Stronger Cooling & Wider Compatibility!
The ToupTek SkyEye26AC Plus builds on ToupTek Astro’s flagship cooled-camera platform with an upgraded design, stronger cooling, expanded connectivity, and improved operating stability. Powered by the Sony IMX571 APS-C sensor, it delivers 26 MP resolution, 3.76 µm pixels, and 16-bit imaging for highly detailed deep-sky images. Advanced two-stage TEC cooling provides up to a 43°C temperature reduction, while ultra-low read noise, zero amp-glow, and a 512 MB DDR3 buffer help deliver clean, consistent results during long exposures.

Core Highlights of the SkyEye Plus
Shorter Back Focus

Every model uses an M54x0.75 female thread and includes a full-size M54 extension tube and adapter ring for a standard 55mm optical train. Removing the front adapters reduces the camera back focus to 12.5mm or 8.5mm for greater compatibility with optical systems and accessories.
Large Field of View

Featuring a Sony IMX571 back-illuminated color sensor with 26 million effective pixels, this APS-C format delivers an excellent balance of performance and field of view. Its versatile sensor size pairs well with a wide range of telescopes and imaging setups, making it a strong choice for both experienced astrophotographers and beginners.
Powerful Cooling

The SkyEye26AC Plus features an upgraded TEC cooling system with precise PID temperature control, reaching up to 43°C below ambient. This helps suppress thermal noise and dark current for cleaner, higher-quality long-exposure images.

Expanded Conectivity & Reinforced Power
The integrated 5-port USB hub (4xUSB 2.0, 1xUSB 3.0) allows direct connection of accessories such as filter wheels, guide cameras, and focusers, reducing cable clutter and simplifying setup.
The optimized power system maintains stable camera operation during continuous cooling and high accessory loads throughout an imaging session.
- Note: The SkyEye Plus camera body can operate from a 12V/3A supply. A DC 12V/5A supply is strongly recommended when using the USB hub. USB 3.0 is used only for high-speed data transfer and does not power the camera or connected accessories.

OSC or Mono: Finding the Right Fit
One-Shot Color (OSC) cameras streamline your workflow by capturing full-color images without a filter wheel, offering a fast and travel-friendly setup that is perfect for astrophotography beginners, mobile imagers, or anyone seeking high-quality results with minimal post-processing.
Monochrome (Mono) cameras deliver superior photon efficiency and pixel-level sharpness by eliminating the light loss and resolution interpolation of a Bayer matrix. Mono imaging is tailored for dedicated deep-sky astrophotographers who demand maximum sensitivity, ultimate narrowband performance (Ha, OIII, SII), and full control over composite LRGB rendering under any sky condition.

Built-in Sensor Tilt Adjustment & Convenient Calibration
The SkyEye Plus body includes three sets of precision adjustment screws, allowing the sensor plane to be aligned with the telescope focal plane without an additional accessory for more uniform stars across the field.
- Note: Avoid large adjustments. Loosen the opposing screw before turning any adjustment screw. For example, loosen the matching push screw counterclockwise before tightening a pull screw clockwise; otherwise, the mechanism may be damaged.
- The series also supports the SkyEye rear four-point sensor tilt ring. The replacement does not consume additional optical length and retains the standard 12.5mm/17.5mm back focus.

High-Speed Buffer, Stable Transfer
Supporting USB 3.0 transmission, the SkyEye Plus has a built-in DDR3 512MB cache to ensure reliable data transmission. At the same time, the cache can greatly avoid the glow phenomenon caused by slow transmission speed, ensuring optimal imaging conditions.

Zero Amp-Glow for Cleaner Long Exposures
Featuring a back-illuminated, zero amp-glow, Sony CMOS sensor. This sensor effectively avoids common problems like amp- glow that traditional front-illuminated sensors suffer from. This maintains a clean background signal under high gain and long exposure conditions. Making calibration is easier and post-processing more efficient!

Four-Level Anti-Dew Heating
The sealed, dry sensor chamber helps prevent condensation from forming on the CMOS sensor and inner optical window during cooling. An integrated window heater offers four adjustable power levels to keep the optical path clear in humid conditions and during significant temperature changes.
